The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), organized on March 31st and April 1st, in partnership with the Association of African Insurance Supervisory Authorities (AAISA), the 1st annual meeting of this association that gathers all African insurance supervisors.
African insurance supervisory authorities gathered to create this association to coordinate their actions and set up a partnership and cooperation framework. AAISA aims at strengthening the supervision of the insurance market and provide protection to policyholders as well as contribute to financial stability in the African continent.
ACAPS is an active member of the AAISA and has been conducting a proactive South-South cooperation policy. Since its establishment in 2016, The Authority has concluded several partnership agreements with African counterparts(technical assistance, exchange of expertise, knowledge and coordination of regulatory and supervisory actions)
