The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (Autorité de Contrôle des Assurances et de la Prévoyance Sociale - ACAPS) is chairing the annual meeting and seminar of the Group of French-speaking Insurance Supervisors (GCAF) from 30th January to 1st February 2024
Organised in Paris by the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) and the International Banking and Finance Institute (IBFI), the meeting brings together representatives of some 20 member countries of the GCAF to discuss the Group's future activities and the renewal of the GCAF Bureau.
The seminar, meanwhile, focuses on a range of topical issues such as risk-based supervision, inclusive insurance, the digitalisation of insurance services and best practice in claims settlement.
The aim of the GCAF meetings is to strengthen cooperation between the members of this organisation, in order to promote, through exchanges of experience and information, best practices and the latest developments in insurance supervision. The meetings also intend to explore new partnership opportunities and support channels of cooperation and exchange of expertise between Group members.
ACAPS, which has chaired the GCAF since 2021, is one of the founding members of the Group and contributes continuously to its work and meetings.
