The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) was elected, in the person of Mrs. Siham Ramli, Director of Communication and International Relations, on Thursday 10 November in Santiago, Chile, to the position of Vice-President of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), in charge of Emerging Markets and Developing Economies (EMDE), succeeding the Supervisory Authority of South Africa.

The Authority's vice-chairmanship will include coordinating IAIS projects and activities with EMDE members.

It will also promote their inclusion in the activities and governance of the IAIS.

Furthermore, it should be noted that ACAPS is actively involved in the work of the IAIS. It is a member of the Executive Committee, representing the MENA region, a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and the Implementation and Evaluation Committee.
