ACAPS participates at the Casablanca Insurance Meeting

The 8th edition of the Casablanca Insurance Meeting, held under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, took place on Wednesday 23rd March on the theme of "sustainable insurance & health coverage expansion".

In his opening speech at this event held by the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (FMSAR), Mr. Othman Khalil EL ALAMY, Acting Chairman of the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) highlighted the challenges of the current national context marked by the generalization of social protection, requiring the insurance sector to join this dynamic, and this, by developing complementary products adapted to this new situation and by capitalizing on its experience in the management of health insurance.

Mr. El ALAMY also reviewed the efforts made by Morocco in the fight against climate change, noting, in this regard, that "insurers, as institutional investors, have a major role to play in supporting the country's position in terms of energy transition, as well as contributing to the Green economy and, more generally, to the sustainability of development".
