The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) maintains its strategic position within the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS).
On Thursday December 5th , 2024, in Cape Town, South Africa, ACAPS was re-elected as Vice-Chair of the IAIS Executive Committee, in the person of Mrs. Siham Ramli, Director of Communication and International Relations.

This re-election testifies to the continued recognition of ACAPS' efforts and commitment to emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs). Mrs. Ramli's mandate will focus on coordinating IAIS projects and activities relating to EMDEs, while reinforcing their integration within the association's structures and initiatives.

This re-election confirms ACAPS' central role in the development and governance of the global insurance sector, particularly for emerging markets.

Furthermore, it should be noted that the Authority also continues to contribute actively to the IAIS’s work, serving on the Executive Committee as a representative of the MENA region, as well as on the Audit and Risk and Implementation and Evaluation Committees.
