ACAPS sets up an "Innovation & Insurtech" unit

The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) has just set up a unit that aims to drive innovation and develop the Insurtech ecosystem in order to improve the customer experience and promote insurance inclusion.

This structure relies on several pillars aimed at stimulating innovation within the Moroccan insurance sector, by developing synergies between all stakeholders, including project developers, insurance and reinsurance companies and policyholders.

It should be noted that the mission of the innovation unit is twofold: on the one hand, it is in charge of supporting innovative project holders by ensuring their compliance with the current regulations, and on the other hand, it provides support to insurance and reinsurance companies to enable them to interact with the Insurtech ecosystem.
