ACAPS takes part to the Casablanca Meeting of Insurance

Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 9th edition of the Casablanca Insurance Meeting opened its works, this Wednesday, March 8, 2023, on the theme "Motor Insurance: between technological progress and evolutions of mobilities".

Mr. Othman Khalil El Alamy, acting Chairman of the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), took part at the opening of this international event, which is held at the initiative of the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (FMSAR), on the theme "Motor Insurance: between technological progress and changes in mobility". In his speech, Mr. Othman Khalil EL ALAMY reviewed the challenges of the current national and international context marked by technological transformations and the evolution of mobility preferences, calling on the insurance sector to join the dynamics of innovation in order to face the challenges of tomorrow.

M. El Alamy also outlined the vision of ACAPS, as a regulator, in terms of strengthening the solidity of insurance companies and also regulation in order to stimulate innovation and competition, stating the need for the sector to show resilience and have the necessary flexibility to cope with unforeseen events and recalling, in this context, the launch by the Authority of the project of Risk-Based Solvency which aims to strengthen the resilience of insurance and reinsurance companies in the face of the incurred risks.
