A delegation from ACAPS participated in the World Social Security Forum organized this year by the Social Security Fund of Panama from November 14 to 18, under the theme: "Transforming Lives - Shaping Societies".
The main topics discussed at this forum focused on:
- Major challenges in social security administration: Reforms and innovative solutions to maintain and adapt pension and health insurance schemes.
- Leadership and Innovation: Exploring the Essential Role of Leadership and Innovation in a Changing Environment, Including Advanced ICT-Based Solutions.
- The positive impact of social security: Analysis of data that demonstrates this positive social and economic impact.
- Launch of a new set of guidelines, four in number, covering the main areas of social security administration.
The World Summit, held on this occasion, brought together policy makers, representatives of international organizations and recognized experts. The debates focused on how social security systems can evolve in the face of major socio-economic issues and changes in the working world.
