Amendment of the ACAPS general circular

The circular of the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) of March 16th, 2021, amending and supplementing the ACAPS circular of January 2nd, 2019, issued for the application of certain provisions of Law No. 17-99 on the Insurance Code, was published on Thursday, July 21st, 2022, in the Official Bulletin.
It should be noted that this amendment comes within the framework of strengthening prudential rules and easing administrative procedures, and in particular to align with international standards of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
It also aims to promote inclusive insurance as well as the modernization and the development of the insurance sector through the extension of the distribution perimeter of the insurance operations to the payment institutions by allowing them to present operations fulfilling the conditions fixed in this circular.
It is also a part of the efforts to promote digitalization through the communication of documents via an electronic platform.
