The chairman of the supervisory authority gives an interview to the "Assabah" newspaper

The Chairman of the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), Mr Abderrahim Chaffai, gave an interview to the newspaper "Assabah" which was published in its edition of 13th March 2024.

The interview focused on the priorities of ACAPS, in particular the protection of policyholders and members of the Social Welfare scheme, the improvement of the services offered to them and the diversification of products to ensure better access to insurance and thus develop the sector through the launch of new products targeting new segments, such as Takaful insurance and micro-insurance.

In this context, the Chairman of ACAPS reviewed the efforts made by the supervisory authority to protect policyholders' rights, in particular the progress made in handling claims and the type of complaints received. 

During the interview, Mr Chaffai also highlighted the fact that the supervisory authority was working to update the legal framework governing the insurance business, to ensure that the supervisory and regulatory mechanisms were based on the best international standards.
