The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) is taking part in the 12th Global Money Week, held this year from 18 to 31 March under the theme "Protect your money, secure your future".
ACAPS is taking this opportunity to offer the general public, and young people in particular, a didactic explanation of the basic concepts of insurance and Social Welfare, so that they can be aware of the importance of these two areas in planning for the future and protecting themselves against the financial consequences of potential risks.
Aware that financial education is a major component of financial inclusion and consumer protection, ACAPS has programmed, as in previous editions, several awareness-raising activities to reach a wide audience:
- The broadcasting on the supervisory authority's social networks of "ACAPS Podcast" awareness-raising podcasts on various insurance-related topics;
- The organisation of the third edition of the interactive game "Ach Kat3ref m3a ACAPS", available on the https://ach-kate3ref-m3a-acaps.ma platform, enabling young people aged between 18 and 35 to test their knowledge of insurance and Social Welfare and win prizes by taking part in a competition;
- The broadcast of an awareness-raising programme on the basic concepts of insurance and Social Welfare, aimed at the general public.
- Running awareness-raising sessions on insurance and Social Welfare in second-chance schools and secondary schools;
- Running seminars on insurance and Social Welfare for students;
- The distribution of two educational guides on insurance and Social Welfare to a number of secondary schools throughout Morocco.
It should be noted that the "Global Money Week" event is organised in partnership with the Moroccan Foundation for Financial Education (FMEF) and is fully in line with ACAPS' mission to promote financial education in the areas within its remit.
This flagship event, which brings children and young people closer to the world of finance, is a global campaign organised each year by the OECD International Network for Financial Education (OECD/INFE) to raise young people's awareness of financial issues and give them the opportunity to gradually acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviour they need to make financial decisions.
