The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social welfare (ACAPS) jointly organizes with the Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii), the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) and the Toronto Center, an inclusive insurance training program for insurance inspectors from June 18 to 22 in Rabat.
This training is part of the regional and African cooperation policy led by ACAPS. It is intended for managers and officials of African supervisory authorities involved in the regulation and control of the insurance sector. 15 countries from the African continent are taking part in this regional seminar, which aims to enable participants to discuss topics related to:
- The importance of adopting a proportionate approach to regulation and supervision to improve access to insurance services and ensure adequate protection for low-income consumers;
- Recent practices and case studies of selected jurisdictions that have advanced the field of micro- insurance.
