The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), in partnership with FSD Africa, is launching, for the second year running, a call for innovative projects in the Moroccan insurance sector.
This initiative is part of the Bimalab Insurtech Accelerator (BimaLab) program, designed to promote innovation among African insurtechs.
The aim of the program is to strengthen the skills of insurtechs and help them meet a number of challenges, such as access to finance and strategic partnerships, and to provide them with an environment conducive to the development of their projects, in particular by strengthening networking and strategic partnerships.
The selected start-ups will be supported for a period of six months and will have the opportunity to present their projects to potential investors and companies.
The winning insurtechs will be awarded a prize of up to USD 20,000 each at the end of the program.
It should be noted that Morocco, through ACAPS, and other African countries are taking part in the 2024 session of the BimaLab program, which has already provided support for some 63 African insurtechs during previous sessions. More than 20 insurtechs have so far succeeded in signing strategic partnership agreements and marketing their products.
