As part of efforts to enhance digitalisation and innovation in the Justice and Insurance sectors, a tripartite partnership agreement was signed on Monday 16 December in Casablanca between the Ministry of Justice, the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) and the Moroccan Federation of Insurance (FMA). It was signed by Mr Abdellatif Ouahbi, Minister of Justice, Mr Abderrahim Chaffai, Chairman of ACAPS, and Mr Bachir Baddou, Executive Vice-President of the FMA.
The aim of the agreement is to simplify and modernise exchanges between Moroccan courts and insurance companies through an advanced digital platform, allowing for efficient management of data and legal procedures.
Within this framework, the agreement aims to
- Improve the efficiency of legal proceedings by giving interested parties immediate access to legal data relating to insurance;
- Speed up the enforcement of judgments by optimising the mechanisms for compensating claims and monitoring files relating to insurance companies;
- Digitizing legal procedures by simplifying exchanges and automating processes through a dedicated digital platform;
- Improve the quality of our services by providing each insurance company with a dedicated account to monitor its files easily and in real time.
The agreement marks an important stage in the modernisation of the judicial system and the strengthening of trust between citizens and institutions, said Abdellatif Ouahbi, Minister of Justice, on the occasion. "With this digital platform, we're reaffirming our commitment to a more efficient and transparent judicial administration, in accordance with the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God help him, to reform public administration," he added.
Abderrahim Chaffai, Chairman of ACAPS, asserted that this partnership reflects the common desire of the three parties to improve the interaction between insurance companies and citizens by ensuring more transparency and efficiency in the handling of legal cases related to the insurance sector.
For his part, Mr Bachir Baddou, Executive Vice-President of the FMA, said that the signing of this agreement reflects the Federation's firm commitment to promoting digital innovation in the insurance sector, in order to improve customer satisfaction and the quality of the services offered.
It should be highlighted that this agreement represents a major step towards the widespread use of digital courts in Morocco and the improvement of services offered to citizens and businesses. It confirms the commitment of the three signatory parties to ensure the success of this project by strengthening innovation, increasing the efficiency of processes and ensuring the sustainability of digital initiatives.
