Re-election of Mr Hassan Boubrik to the IAIS Executive Committee

Mr Hassan Boubrik, Chairman of the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), was re-elected on 14 November 2019 in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) as the representative of the MENA region alongside His Excellency Mr Ebrahim Obaid Al Zaabi, Director General of the Insurance Authority of the United Arab Emirates, for the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS).

IAIS is the international standard-setting body for the insurance industry. In fact, this body defines the standards applicable to the supervision, the operators and the functioning of the insurance markets. It also supports their implementation in the various member jurisdictions.

ACAPS actively participates in the work of the IAIS by not sitting only on the Executive Committee, but also on the Audit and Risk Committee and on the Implementation and Assessment Committee.
