Information to the general public: The signing of the receipt by the policyholder must be concurrent with the payment of the benefit

Citizens are informed that the policyholder must sign the receipt only in exchange of the simultaneous payment of the benefit by the insurer, in accordance with the provisions of the Circular Letter of the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) of February 9, 2021, regarding the payment of benefits concurrently with the signing of the receipt.

It should also be noted that the policyholder is not required to legalize this signature.

This measure is part of the simplification and the improvement of the policyholders and beneficiaries’ compensation process and the promotion of good practices in the insurance sector.
